Hey everyone! Despite being the shortest month in the year, February has felt like such a long, but relaxing, month for me! I as able to go to so many cool places and I learned so much this month just from going places, whether it was just a trip to a Broadway play or a cruise!
Hadestown Trip
At the beginning of February, my school planned out a trip for students to go see the play, Hadestown! I thought it was amazing to watch, especially since my friends and I are already planning our own play for next year!
Hackathon
In TKS, we have these small challenges where we have to solve a problem, but the solution must be something that can be implemented in 3 years or less. My group and I decided to solve food waste by turning imperfect foods that would normally go to waste into biofuels. Unfortunately, we didn’t win, but we got to practice for the Spring Challenge which will be in my next newsletter!
Cruise
To end the month off, my mom and I went on a Caribbean Cruise! I had so much fun, and I got to learn a lot about the different cultures in every country as well! I made so many new friends and really got to enjoy my break from school!
